Senior Accountant/Controller

Job Duties
- Coordinating all accounting functions and programs.
- Performing monthly balance sheet, income statement and changes in financial position/budget variance analyses
- Preparing projects revenues projections and forecasting expenditure.
- Assisting with preparing and monitoring budgets for review by management
- Assisting with annual audit preparations.
- Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
- Contributing to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
- Reconciling timecards hours against budgeting
- Performing other accounting duties and supporting junior staff as required or assigned.
- Assessing internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years accounting experience.
- Knowledge of government, SBIR contracts.
- Be able to handle auditing.
- Excellent in communication verbally and written
- Able to work under pressure and in fast paced environment.
- Must have BS – Accounting degree. Master’s degree, CPA certification or MBA is preferrable.
- US Citizen or US Permanent Resident and fully vaccinated from COVID-19, due to government contract requirements.
